ZOOPLANKTON SAMPLING NET

Mesh: polyester monofilament mesh, with mesh openings of 23, 55 or 80 microns, depending on the model. 

Dimensions: conical structure, 30 cm in diameter and 70 cm deep, with edges reinforced with 2” webbing. 

Frame: made of double aluminum flat bar to provide rigidity and protection during sampling.

Drag and/or anchoring system: made up of three 70 cm transparent plastic-coated metal cable bridles, joined together and attached to the net ring by metal fasteners. Together they can withstand up to 200 kgf. Before each sampling, it is recommended to verify that the drag system is properly secured to the sampling net.

Anchoring system: one stainless steel fastening hook.

Collector container: 250 cc PVC bottle with two (2) side windows covered with mesh of the same pore size as the net. This container is attached to the collecting sleeve by a stainless steel metal clamp.
